N.J. Voss loved reading and writing long before becoming a published author. Thrillers, mysteries, and suspense offered the kind of escape that could turn a quiet room into another world—and eventually made the stories in his own head impossible to ignore.
His fiction is rooted in New England and drawn toward places with history: old homes, small towns, complicated families, buried truths, and situations where the ordinary becomes unsettling one detail at a time.
Publishing The Previous Owner was the decision to finally take those stories seriously and put them on the page. It is the first book in a growing body of psychological thriller fiction from N.J. Voss.
